The "Folklore" collection consists of Japanese traditional modern pottery plates & bowls made by our skilled craftspeople, requiring a lot of time and effort. The black and blue versions are hand painted. A brush is used to make a circular pattern with many brush tones, which attracts the eye of everyone. The gray “sabi kairagi” is made with a traditional technique of first applying a layer of white powder-clay, which later crazes during firing. Then, by applying traditional Japanese brown paint, such a unique crackle pattern is created. Dishes with simple but great ingredients in Japanese and western style are perfect for the Folklore bowl. Sharply flared, [23 round bowl] can be a serving bowl for simmered food or salad and a curry bowl for an individual portion. Arrange the food in the center leaving the larger margins for a beautiful presentation.
